Job summary

Kansas City University is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage full-cycle recruitment for staff, support, and student positions. You will partner with hiring managers to define needs, source top talent, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and drive timely offers and onboarding while maintaining a positive candidate experience.

You will also handle salary proposals, background checks, and onboarding coordination, including travel to campus locations and recruitment events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in HR, business, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of recruitment experience, preferably in higher education, healthcare, or related environment.
• Experience with ATS and interview coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage requisitions from posting to onboarding and coordinate with hiring managers.
• Develop sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, referrals, and events.
• Conduct recruiter phone screens and coordinate interviews with timely feedback.
• Deliver a professional and inclusive candidate experience and represent the university at events.
• Determine proposed salaries and assist with pre-employment processing and background checks.
• Coordinate student hiring processes with student services and supervisors.
• Maintain recruitment records and assist with compliance and reporting.
• Travel approximately 25% to campuses and events.
