Job summary

PMI Smarter Diego is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage HOA and residential property accounting in Southern California. You will handle full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, GL, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financial statements, while coordinating with an off-site accounting team.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting with HOA or property management exposure; proficiency with CINC, Rentvine, or QuickBooks is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, HOA or residential property management preferred.
• Experience with HOA accounting and property management accounting is a plus.
• Familiarity with CINC Systems, Rentvine, or QuickBooks is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; able to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting for a portfolio of HOAs and residential rental properties.
• Perform full-cycle accounting: AP, AR, GL entries, journals, reconciliations, and monthly statements.
• Upload, review, code, and process vendor invoices.
• Coordinate with third-party accounting firm for timely financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial packages for HOA Boards and property owners.
• Reconcile operating, reserve, and trust accounts; assist with budgets and audits.
• Support managers, vendors, homeowners, and board members with accounting inquiries.
