Job summary

Action Property Management in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to drive day-to-day accounting operations for assigned associations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across financial activities.

You will own core functions including financial statement prep, reconciliations, budgeting, audits, and banking transactions, partnering with managers, board members, and internal teams. Hybrid work model after training; salary range $80,000 to $90,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ability to prepare and interpret financial statements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including English writing and verbal communications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accuracy and update chart of accounts.
• Record journal entries with documentation and support.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Balance accounts payable and accounts receivable monthly.
• Coordinate annual budgets and forecast accuracy.
• Lead audit/review processes and coordinate responses.
• Manage banking and investment transactions for timeliness.
• Serve as primary accounting contact for managers and board members.
• Onboard new accounts and recurring deliverables across departments.
• Drive process improvements in financial reporting accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and US GAAP.
• Represent accounting team at Board meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
