Ascendo Resources is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to drive full-cycle recruiting across banking and corporate lines in New York. You will partner with hiring managers, source candidates, and manage the interview process to build strong teams within a fast-paced financial institution.

The role requires 3+ years of banking recruitment experience and a solid understanding of regulatory hiring requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of recruiting experience, ideally within banking or financial services.
• Experience recruiting for roles such as client associates, credit analysts, operations staff, compliance professionals, and banking support functions.
• Strong understanding of the banking industry and regulatory hiring requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for banking and corporate positions including retail banking, operations, compliance, credit, and support functions.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, role requirements, and hiring timelines.
• Source and identify qualified candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and recruiting databases.
• Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate the interview process with hiring managers and leadership teams.
• Maintain and manage candidate pipelines while ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Draft and post job descriptions across multiple recruiting platforms.
• Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and onboarding documentation for new hires.
• Track recruitment metrics and maintain accurate data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Ensure hiring practices comply with banking regulations and internal HR policies.
• Support broader HR initiatives including workforce planning, employer branding, and talent retention efforts.
