Job summary

Spec Seats International in Chicago, IL is seeking a highly organized Full Charge Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant to lead daily financial execution across AP, AR, payroll, and tax compliance. This role emphasizes automation, accuracy, and strong system integrity in a growing B2B product-based company.

You will manage multi-state sales tax filings, vendor and customer billing, inventory valuation, landed costs, and monthly financial statements, with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent practical experience.
• 7-10+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or staff accounting experience, preferably in product-based, B2B wholesale, or e‑commerce.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) with payroll processing systems (ADP preferred).
• Strong understanding of multi-state sales tax regulations and B2B exemption management.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable & Bill Payments: manage AP in QuickBooks, automate bank rules, process payments, and maintain AP projections.
