Job summary

Apex Financial Solutions in Chicago seeks a detail-oriented Full-Time Bookkeeper to join our finance team. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, maintain ledgers, and ensure GAAP compliance in a collaborative office environment.

Qualifications

2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Excel; Xero experience is a plus.
Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
Process payroll for employees on a bi-weekly basis.
Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet).
Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation filings.
Monitor expenses and assist in budget planning for clients.
Ensure all financial documentation is organized and GAAP-compliant.
