Job Title: Full Charge Bookkeeper – Property Management/Real Estate

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 (commensurate with experience); bonus eligible

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Company:

LHH is working with a well-established property management and real estate firm based in Paramus, NJ, known for their personalized approach and long-standing client relationships. As their portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their team and take ownership of all day-to-day accounting functions and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders
  • Process payroll and maintain payroll records
  • Reconcile and manage multiple bank and escrow accounts
  • Maintain tenant ledgers and track rent collections
  • Prepare year-end 1099s and assist with tax filings
  • Coordinate with external CPA for audits and year-end tax preparation
  • Monitor cash flow and produce financial statements for multiple entities
  • Support property managers with financial data and budgeting
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in full charge bookkeeping, preferably in property management or real estate
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi, AppFolio, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
