Job summary

CAREER FOUNDATIONS INC. seeks a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting and help implement QuickBooks Enterprise in our Asheville-area facility.

You will handle AP/AR, bank reconciliations, inventory costing, month-end close, and reporting, collaborating with operations and an external CPA. Strong Excel skills and accuracy are essential to improve processes in a growing, inventory-heavy business.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Experience with inventory accounting.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise or transitioning to it is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile inventory transactions, adjustments, and variances.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports and provide timely financial information to leadership.
  • Partner with operations to ensure inventory movements and costing are accurately recorded.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of QuickBooks Enterprise, including data migration, system setup, and process improvements.
  • Develop and document accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls.
  • Prepare sales tax filings and other recurring compliance reporting.
  • Coordinate with an external CPA for year-end financial reporting and tax preparation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed

A growing manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting operations while helping lead the implementation of QuickBooks Enterprise. Qualifications

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Required experience with inventory accounting.
  • Manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or other inventory-intensive industry experience preferred.
  • Experience implementing or transitioning to QuickBooks Enterprise is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with inventory costing methodologies and inventory controls.
  • Experience improving accounting processes or participating in ERP/accounting system implementations
