Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Manage accounts payable, including invoice verification and payment processing.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including customer collections and account reconciliations.
  • Process payroll for approximately 13 hourly employees using timekeeping records.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with inventory cost accounting and inventory-related reconciliations.
  • Verify invoice pricing and coordinate approvals with operations before payment.
  • Prepare quarterly financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
  • Support the transition from QuickBooks Online to a new ERP system as the company grows.

Job description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator to join a growing manufacturing company. This is a hands-on role focused on the day-to-day accounting operations that keep the business running smoothly—not a controller or accounting manager position.

The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, organized, and comfortable managing bookkeeping functions with minimal oversight. Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or food & beverage environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records
  • Manage accounts payable, including invoice verification and payment processing
  • Manage accounts receivable, including customer collections and account reconciliations
  • Process payroll for approximately 13 hourly employees using timekeeping records
