Job summary

Amazon seeks a Systems Development Engineer to join the Technology Deployment - Systems Integration team. You will own deployment processes for advanced fulfillment systems, integrate cross-functional solutions, and work with product development to deliver field-ready equipment.

You will travel up to 75% across North America and contribute to fast-paced lab and site testing. Successful candidates will have deep experience in embedded systems, automation, and large-scale infrastructure

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering or related field.
Experience with Unix and scripting (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby).
Proficient in modern programming languages (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby).
Experience leading design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
Experience with automated material handling and robotics in high-speed environments.
Knowledge of network design, routing, topology, and traffic engineering.
Lean process improvement or Six Sigma methodologies.
3+ years in motor controls and electrical components.
3+ years of PLC/IPC based controls design, development, and support.

Responsibilities

Support installation of complex cross-functional projects with broad impact.
Collaborate with internal/external engineering teams to deliver high-quality projects.
Establish milestones, drive schedules, and present KPI metrics.
Deep-dive technical solutions for advanced technology applications in material handling.
Participate in design reviews and coordinate with vendors on equipment specs and layouts.
Communicate project status clearly to program management.
Capture voice of customer and prioritize defects for rapid deployment.
