Job summary

DC International seeks a Fulfillment Specialist to support daily warehouse operations across two e-commerce brands. You will pick, pack, label, and ship orders, troubleshoot packing stations, and maintain supplies. You’ll also assist with cycle counts and carrier coordination, working with a team to meet deadlines.

The role requires English fluency, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work 7:00am–3:30pm Monday to Friday with overtime during peak season. Prior WMS experience is a plus.

Job description

This office is not on a convenient bus line.

Job Purpose

The Fulfillment Specialist position is responsible for contributing to the daily operation of the DCI Fulfillment department, consisting of properly fulfilling customer orders and troubleshooting issues in our WMS across our two e-commerce brands. Other key responsibilities include maintaining packing station and fulfillment supplies, knowledge of the pick/pack and cycle counting processes and serving as a point of contact for carrier operations. This position requires a quick-thinking problem solver capable of effectively contributing to a dedicated team.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Help manage supply inventory and report purchasing needs.
• Ensure packing stations are continuously stocked with materials.
• Accurately pick customer orders using a handheld scanner, following assigned cart type and pick route.
• Pack orders using the Scan to Pack (STP) method — scan the work shipment, verify all item UPCs, and post to generate the shipping label. Do not use the Pack Station (PS) method.
• Perform assigned specialty tasks as directed, including cushion wrapping, ribbon and bow processing, or gift finishing.
• Troubleshoot basic issues at pack stations (printer feed, label printer, and scanner problems) and the conveyor scanning system; communicate unresolved issues to the Fulfillment Lead or Supervisor.
• Troubleshoot and/or report order problems as they arise.
• Participate in cycle counts as directed by the Fulfillment Lead or Supervisor.
• Follows all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
• Maintains a clean, organized workstation and contributes to a safe work environment.
• Assists with carrier pick-up preparation and communicates carrier issues to the Fulfillment Lead as they arise.

Qualifications

Required

• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Experience troubleshooting issues and recognizing problems and resolving appropriately.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and written/oral communication; able to set priorities and work with a diverse, dedicated team of employees from different cultural backgrounds.
• Proven ability to work both independently and alongside a team with little supervision.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work M-F from 7:00am to 3:30pm plus overtime during peak season, potentially to include weekends and evenings. Peak season is November through January.
• Ability to prioritize objectives, while also being hands-on to ensure the job is done.
• Experience and confidence with order fulfillment, processing, and shipping.

Preferred

• Ability to drive a reach truck.
• Ecommerce experience.
• Understanding and knowledge of WMS software, preferably Microsoft Business Central, as well as other Microsoft software programs (preferably Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).

Working conditions

This position is located in a warehouse that is partially climate controlled. As part of the position’s requirements, the candidate will be in various parts of our building throughout the workday.

Physical Requirements

This position will require the capability to lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs as required. This position may also require sitting or standing for long periods in an office and/or warehouse environment.
