Job summary

RRD is seeking a production-oriented professional in Buffalo Grove, IL to guide employees and ensure production standards are met. You will audit processes, supervise staff, and help maintain safety and quality across operations.

Responsibilities include inspecting shipments, approving samples, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. The role requires basic computer skills and strong organization, with lifting up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of manufacturing/operations experience.
• Follow policies, procedures, safety regs and program objectives.
• May oversee junior staff and audit work for accuracy.
• Basic computer knowledge and MS Office proficiency.
• Communicate effectively across departments.
• Strong organizational skills and deadline management.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes to confirm production specifications are met.
• Maintain positive relationships with employees and direct them to the appropriate manager.
• Ensure safety, quality standards, and procedures are followed; report hazards.
• Inspect products/shipments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Review and approve production samples and shipments as needed.
• Assist management with Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Maintain records; compile standard reports and perform clerical tasks.
• Attend production meetings and coordinate with other departments.
• Coordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers, and guests.
