Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Manager in Madison, WI to lead and develop a team of salaried and hourly staff. You will drive safety, quality, and performance while applying data-driven decisions to improve productivity and efficiency.

You will coordinate with safety, engineering, and HR teams to meet business objectives and ensure on-time customer deliveries. The role involves mentoring a diverse workforce, managing large-scale projects, and balancing workloads across shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate salaried and hourly workforce.
• Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact.
• Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews and load balancing.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in variable temperatures and weather conditions.
