Chewy is seeking an Operations Manager for our fulfillment center in the United States. You will lead inbound/outbound operations across two shifts, drive safety, and ensure on-time customer shipments while keeping defects low.

You will mentor Area Managers, drive forecasting, and implement improvements across inventory, order management, and WMS processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of management experience in fulfillment/warehouse ops; retail/e‑commerce preferred.
• At least 4 years of management experience in Receiving, Inventory Control, and/or Order Fulfillment.
• Experience leading large teams of hourly employees.
• Experience building or improving inventory/ordering/warehouse systems and processes.
• Comfort with ambiguity and change in a startup-like environment.
• Strong project management and continuous improvement skills.
• Metrics-driven with a customer-service mindset and clear communication.

Aufgaben

• Lead inbound/outbound activities for the FC across two shifts (receiving, picking, packing, shipping).
• Ensure safe work environment for outbound associates.
• Direct supervision to achieve timely customer orders with high OT shipments and low defects.
• Monitor KPIs: misses, on-time shipments, defects, aged tasks, production per hour, cost per order line.
• Engage Area Managers and Operations Leads; drive planning and forecasting.
• Mentor and develop Area Managers for career progression.
• Standardize processes across shifts and network.
• Foster a positive, change-ready team culture focused on customer experience.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery using WMS insights.
