Job summary

Chewy is seeking an Assistant General Manager with fulfillment and/or distribution experience to lead a high-volume e-fulfillment center. You will drive efficiency, safety, inventory control, receiving, picking, packing, and shipping while developing the management team and associates.

You will set high standards, lead multi-shift operations, manage metrics, and partner with HR on staffing and performance. The role requires a results-driven, high-energy leader capable of thriving in a fast-paced

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
8+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques.
Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations.

Responsibilities

Lead all activities of the Fulfillment Center to maximize production efficiency and safety.
Coordinate policies and programs to maintain profitability and quality while meeting cost objectives.
Manage budgets and control expenses; develop and appraise staff.
Take corrective action and consult HR as appropriate.
Ensure asset preservation and use of cost-effective technology to improve production.
