Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager for our Aberdeen, MD operations. You will lead a team of hourly associates, drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance, and coordinate with support teams to meet delivery promises.

You will coach and mentor staff across shifts, handle staffing needs, and adapt to a fast-paced environment with variable temperatures and noise. Strong communication and Lean principles are valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a hourly workforce to meet safety and performance goals.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 49 pounds as needed.
