Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacist to provide verification and expertise in a micro fulfillment center. You will work independently and with pharmacist peers to ensure high-quality prescription fulfillment and service.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authorities and maintains required licenses.
• Experience working with confidential information.
• Willing to work non-standard hours, including evenings, holidays and/or weekends.
• Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, relying on oneself to complete objectives and escalate issues when needed.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, meeting quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs fulfillment center pharmacist tasks including prescription verification and data review to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications.
• Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications within pharmacy workflow.
• Supports efficient workflow and helps optimize pharmacy financials, inventory management and processes for safe, quality output.
• Maintains current knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and workflow tools to support staff and promote productivity and quality.
• Responds to information requests and policy interpretations from staff and leadership; provides clear feedback or coaching to ensure policy adherence.
• Handles questions and issues related to prescription fulfillment within the micro fulfillment center.
• Follows guidelines to meet goals and adheres to HIPAA and pharmacy laws.
