Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacist to verify prescriptions and provide pharmacy expertise within a fulfillment center, ensuring high quality and service for patients. You will perform pharmacist responsibilities independently and with peers to maintain accuracy and safe medication delivery.

You will review and interpret prescribed medications, support workflow efficiency, and help optimize inventory, processes, and policies while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient privacy across the center.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Current Pharmacist license as required by state licensing authorities.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Experience delivering customer service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Performs fulfillment center pharmacist tasks including prescription verification and data review.
• Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications within workflow.
• Supports efficient pharmacy workflow and helps optimize inventory management and processes.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and workflow to support staff.
• Provides clear feedback to staff to ensure policy and process adherence.
• Addresses questions related to prescription fulfillment processes within the center.
• Follows HIPAA guidelines and ensures compliance with pharmacy laws.
