Job summary

Dead River Company is seeking a dispatch coordinator to ensure timely, safe, and efficient delivery of petroleum products. You will use a computerized dispatch system, forecast demand, build routes, assign drivers and trucks, and monitor progress to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.

The role requires at least two years in dispatch or a similar environment, a high school diploma, and strong planning, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a dispatch environment preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong planning and scheduling skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Forecasts daily and weekly demand based on weather, degree days, and direction on degree day.
• Builds efficient routes by mapping and sequencing deliveries and reviews customer account information.
• Assigns drivers and trucks and provides manifests for satellite operations.
• Analyzes changes in burning patterns and adjusts delivery schedules for seasonality.
• Reviews dispatch logs and updates accounts for forecasting; communicates with Dispatcher about plans.
• Addresses after-hours service and prepares initial ticket assignments.
• Monitors daily/weekly forecast plans and key metrics to improve throughput and safety.
