Job summary

Pinnacle Propane, LLC in Irving, TX is seeking a Router/Dispatcher to build safe, efficient routes for residential and commercial deliveries. You will sequence deliveries, assign drivers, and adapt plans in real time to weather, traffic, and emergencies.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in dispatch or logistics, proficiency with routing software and tank-monitoring platforms, and strong communication skills in a safety-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; coursework in logistics, supply chain, or transportation a plus.
• 3+ years of dispatch, routing, or logistics coordination experience; propane, fuel distribution, or bulk delivery experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT hours-of-service rules and fuel/hazmat distribution regulations.
• Proficiency with routing/dispatch software, tank-monitoring platforms, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment.
• Availability for extended or non-standard hours during peak heating season, severe weather events, and on-call emergency coverage.
• Strong experience using AI-enabled support tools.

Responsibilities

• Daily route build and stop sequencing for all trucks and drivers on shift.
• Real-time re-routing decisions in response to weather, breakdowns, or emergency/no-heat calls.
• Driver-to-route assignments for the shift.
• Prioritization of will-call, keep-fill, and emergency deliveries within the delivery day.
• Route reviews and delivery-exception documentation.
• Daily hours-of-service (HOS) and route-feasibility check prior to dispatching drivers.
