Job summary

RaceTrac, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher to ensure efficient delivery of fuel to RaceTrac and RaceWay stores. You will monitor freight and fuel costs, coordinate with carriers, and maintain store fuel inventory to prevent run-outs.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years professional experience, business or logistics preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily delivery activity for all carriers and drivers.
• Serve as first contact for truck drivers to facilitate fuel delivery.
• Manage store fuel inventory to prevent fuel run-outs.
• Monitor water level in store tanks and dispatch vendors.
• Ensure carriers have correct loading information at terminals.
• Liaise between stores and Store Support Center on fuel delivery issues.
• Schedule fuel tank pump-outs when needed.
• Ensure contracts and deals are fulfilled.
• Coordinate with fuel suppliers for new carrier setups.
• Make limited financial decisions for supplier changes.
• Cover daily transportation issues independently.
• Monitor load plans and recommend charge-backs for unapproved carrier actions.
