Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician in Lathrop, CA to maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites, diagnose issues, and perform field retrofits and upgrades. The role requires strong technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with travel as needed and a focus on safety and quality.

The position offers on-site work, a non-exempt hourly status, and a broad benefits package including health coverage, 401(k), and holiday time.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Specialized service procedures including field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required.
• Travel as required for business needs; drive safely and adhere to traffic laws.
