Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Three or more years of related work experience preferred
- Ability to perform tire duties preferred
- Ability to perform light maintenance (e.g., trailer PMs, wiper blades, headlights, marker lights) preferred
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal); ability to understand customer communication
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Must be 18 years or older
- Understanding of computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email; ability to read and understand codes and instructions; basic computer skills and data entry ability; thorough and dependable
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work at different locations
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and self-drive in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized with excellent time management, detail-oriented, with good follow-up practices
- Valid CDL Class A preferred
- This is a DOT safety-regulated position; must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months, pass drug and physical tests, and background checks
Responsibilities
- Maintain vehicle fuel and DEF inventories; record fuel activity; check oil
- Maintain fuel island area to standards; perform facility maintenance
- Perform multi-point inspections on inbound units
- Check tire pressure, perform minor repairs and replacements, wheel alignments, manage tire inventory
- Assist with environmental compliance and preventive maintenance
- Conduct fleet analysis and report issues
- Wash and detail vehicles, including washing windows and moving heavy vehicles
- Mentor and assist lower-level employees on tires; perform other duties as assigned
