Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a US-FTZ Import Manager to lead a team of import compliance professionals and ensure adherence to US Customs and FTZ regulations. The role reports to the Sr.

Manager, International Trade Compliance and focuses on developing policies, conducting audits, and mitigating tariff-related risks across cross-functional teams. The position emphasizes building processes, keeping procedures current, and driving compliance excellence in a highly regulated global environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in trade compliance and global operations.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs laws, export controls, and sanctions.
• Experience building and auditing trade compliance programs and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of import compliance professionals.
• Ensure imports are entered in compliance with US Customs Regulations.
• Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure site operations comply with US Foreign Trade Zone regulations.
• Partner with stakeholders to build processes for tariff mitigation strategies.
• Manage FTZ inventory control and reconcile inventory issues promptly.
• Maintain current US import and FTZ procedures and annual reconciliations.
• Support on-site compliance reviews with CBP and respond to CBP inquiries.
• Develop and implement trade compliance policies and training programs.
• Stay updated with changes in trade regulations and communicate impacts to the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve compliance issues and mitigate risks.
• Continuously evaluate processes for improvements.
• Manage day-to-day import issues that affect supply chain timelines.
