Summary:

We are hiring a full-time Pharmacist for IC Pharmacy Operations at our headquarters in Murfreesboro, TN. The position involves 8-hour shifts, totaling 32 hours per week (4 days).

This role is responsible for preparing and administering pharmaceuticals, either by following physician’s orders or addressing patient needs.

1. Coordinate with medical professionals for referrals, including clinical management and care of internal and external customers. Conduct drug utilization reviews, assess diagnoses, allergies, contraindications, and adverse reactions. Assist clinical staff to ensure prescription accuracy and consistency.
2. Prepare and dispense pharmaceuticals based on physician’s orders or patient needs, including verbal orders from healthcare providers.
3. Oversee pharmacy technicians during dispensing and support pharmacy management. Provide initial consultations and therapy management for complex disease states.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's in pharmacy from an accredited university (RPh or DPh required). PharmD preferred. Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in TN required, with licenses in LA and AR or the ability to obtain them.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in a pharmacy setting, with preferred experience in specialty or infusion pharmacy. Home infusion or hospital IV room experience required for infusion pharmacists. Experience with lab assessments, dosing recommendations for infusion, sterile compounding, specialty medications, and therapy management is essential. Proficiency with pharmacy software, CADD pumps or similar devices, and MS Office is required.
