Summary:

We are currently hiring for a full-time Pharmacist - IC Pharmacy Operations position at our headquarters in Murfreesboro, TN. The shift is 8 hours per day, 32 hours per week (4 days). This role is responsible for preparing and administering pharmaceuticals to patients, either by executing physician’s orders or by addressing patients’ problems and needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with medical professionals to facilitate referrals, including involvement in clinical management and care of both internal and external customers. Conduct drug utilization reviews, assess diagnoses, allergies, contraindications, and adverse reactions. Assist clinical staff to ensure accuracy of prescriptions.
2. Prepare and dispense pharmaceuticals based on physician’s orders or patient needs, including verbal orders from healthcare providers.
3. Oversee pharmacy technicians during dispensing and assist the pharmacy manager with operations. Provide initial consultations and therapy management for complex disease states.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's in pharmacy from an accredited university (RPh or DPh required). PharmD preferred. Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in TN required, with active licenses in LA and AR or the ability to obtain them.

Experience: At least 2 years in a pharmacy setting, with experience in specialty or infusion pharmacy preferred. Home infusion or hospital IV experience required. Skills in lab assessments, dosing recommendations for infusion, sterile compounding, and medication management essential. Proficiency with pharmacy software, CADD pumps, or similar equipment, and MS Office required.
