The Assistant Controller is responsible for the daily operation and supervision of the grants accounting staff. This position oversees the restricted fund transactions in the College ERP systems and ensures that all postings are accurate and funds reconciled. Restricted funds include those allocated from Federal, State, local or private sources. This position manages and participates in the monthly close process which includes extensive data analysis, account reconciliations and required grant reporting schedules. This position also oversees the Lansing Community College Foundation general ledger, financial transaction posting, and financial reporting. This position has an active role in the annual financial audits and granting agency audits and reviews.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
LCC policy requires all LCC employees to be residents of the State of Michigan and to perform all work (with limited exceptions) within the State of Michigan.
Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
