The Program Assistant’s role is to: (1) assist the Program Manager and Resource Parent Coordinator with the administrative functions related to credentialing documentation, planning, quality assurance, and facilitating component activities for foster/kinship parents; and (2) serving as a point of contact for new placements during working hours. The Family Foster Care Program Assistant has access to confidential client information and is expected to handle such information with integrity and professionalism.Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for supporting the collecting, requesting, and tracking all necessary documentation for credentialing of foster/kinship families.Assist with the planning and coordination of trainings and other program events.Provide child care during trainings.Submit documentation to open and/or close homes and request location codesDocument and track all services in accordance with state/county standards and agency policy.Routinely audit and review charts to ensure they are in compliance with state and county regulationsTrack referrals for placements and coordinate placements during working hoursFollow up with CUA/DHS for appropriate documentation, including referrals.Participate in weekly supervision and monthly staff meetings as requested.Participate in outreach events for the purpose of program promotion and recruitmentAttend trainings as required.Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.Qualifications/RequirementsHigh School diploma required, Associate’s Degree or higher in a human services field preferred, must have at least two years of administrative experience.Must be resourceful, willing to establish and maintain good working relationships with a variety of clients, other professionals and foster parents.Must be willing to work with a team.Must understand the importance of confidentiality.Knowledge of the social services network in Philadelphia a plus.FBI, Pennsylvania Childline and Criminal Background Clearances.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Computer and technological proficiency preferred.Must have valid driver’s license and insurance and able to travel and be flexible.
