Job summary

WestRock Coffee is seeking a FSQA Technician I to perform quality control checks on materials and during production to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires standing for long periods in a fast-paced environment and reports to the FSQA Supervisor.

Key duties include inline inspections of WIP and finished products, entering test results, ensuring GMP compliance, and supporting continuous improvement with precise data collection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years' experience with quality inspection, auditing, data collection, and/or testing.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Office-based database systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend SOPs, policies, and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and logical thinking.
• Ability to communicate well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow WestRock policies & procedures, including Food Safety & Quality Management System requirements.
• Ensure GMP practices are followed by all personnel.
• Perform inline inspections on WIP and finished products to verify specifications (color, moisture, density, grind, weights, codes, packaging).
• Inspect materials in production for quality suitability.
• Enter test results accurately into the quality database.
• Identify and segregate nonconforming goods when required.
• Conduct testing of products on hold when required.
• Maintain a clean, GMP-compliant work area.
• Contribute to team efforts and assist with related tasks as needed.
