Job summary

Surlean Foods is seeking a FSQA Supplier Specialist to oversee supplier QA, approvals, and material conformance at our off-site cold storage facility. You will track performance, review COAs, manage supplier documents, and coordinate with manufacturing facilities on non-conformances to ensure product safety and quality.

Requirements include 5 years in QA, HACCP/FSMA and GFSI knowledge; degree preferred; ability to travel in the US and Canada, and proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 5 years of QA experience required or preferred
• HACCP, FSMA knowledge required
• GFSI knowledge beneficial
• Degree preferred but not required
• Proficient with MS Office suite and ERP system

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier QA culture and expectations with Surlean suppliers.
• Perform supplier approvals via documentation requests, reviews, and visits.
• Track and trend supplier performance and claims.
• Review COAs and perform releases for incoming goods in inventory system.
• Coordinate with manufacturing on non-conformances and communications with suppliers.
• Manage supplier documents and maintain approved supplier list and allergen list.
