Job summary

Surlean Foods is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to lead the FSQA program for its Tolleson, AZ plant. The role emphasizes proactive leadership to uphold safety and quality across raw and finished products.

The manager reports to the VP of FSQA and collaborates across departments to sustain compliance and continuous improvement. The candidate should have a BS in Food Science (or related field) and at least 5 years in food safety/quality, with HACCP/FSMA expertise and experience

Qualifications

• BS in Food Science or related field required.
• 5 years’ experience in food safety & quality.
• HACCP/FSMA knowledge required.
• BRC knowledge preferred.
• RTE experience required for high risk facilities.
• Must work in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the food safety culture in the facility.
• Enforce the company’s GMP policy.
• Verification and validation of HACCP/FSMA.
• Review QA records and hold logs; manage investigations.
• Manage environmental sampling and SSOPs.
• Coordinate with USDA/FDA inspectors and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee audits and training; support scheduling of QA staff.
