Job summary

Surlean Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to uphold safety and quality across incoming materials and finished products at the plant. You will work under the QA Supervisor and ensure compliance with GMPs, SOPs, and customer specifications.

Responsibilities include pre-operational inspections, swabbing, SSOP documentation, HACCP monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration with USDA and production teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
• Able to work cross-functionally and unsupervised.
• Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Enforce GMP policy and ensure compliance with SOPs and customer specs.
• Conduct pre-operational equipment and facilities inspections.
• Perform ATP and environmental swabbing as needed.
• Monitor SSOPs and document as required.
• Oversee quality of packaging, raw materials, and finished products.
• Monitor metal detection and rejection.
• Record weights and temperatures of products.
• Monitor physical, chemical, and sensory characteristics.
• Generate daily records for each product line per specs.
• Perform HACCP monitoring at critical control points.
• Collaborate with USDA and production staff.
• Report deviations and hold products when needed.
• Assist QA Manager and department as needed.
