Job summary

Westrock Coffee is seeking an FSQA Lab Tech Lead to oversee microbiological and analytical testing in our Micro Lab. This role blends hands-on testing with leadership to ensure high-quality production and regulatory compliance.

Key duties include lab housekeeping, sample handling, batch release across multiple lines, and training technicians. A science-focused degree and strong data/reporting skills are preferred for this critical quality control position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a science or quality technology preferred.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot SafetyChain systems for lab data.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and office-based database systems.
• Ability to read and follow department documents and SOPs.
• Ability to communicate clearly in a team environment.
• English language proficiency (read and speak).

Responsibilities

• Oversee microbiological and analytical testing in the Micro Lab.
• Lead shift changes and lab housekeeping activities.
• Manage shipping/receiving for the Micro Lab.
• Provide training and inventory management support for technicians.
• Perform finished goods analytics for PET products and post-retort cans.
• Respond to information requests from internal and external customers.
• Troubleshoot batching, testing, and equipment as needed.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity across tests.
