Job summary

Church's Texas Chicken is seeking a cook in our Field Operations team to prepare and cook chicken products according to the Operating Standards Manual. You will set up batter stations, manage fryers, and ensure safety procedures are followed. The role emphasizes clean, efficient work and adherence to timing and quality standards.

You will maintain a stocked batter area, monitor equipment, and collaborate with the Manager in Charge to meet business needs in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Sets up batter table, collects smallwares, and prepares batter mix.
• Ensures call sheets are complete, posted and used.
• Checks equipment and reports malfunctions to Manager.
• Balances fryers and maintains proper shortening level.
• Filters and cleans fryers as scheduled with safety equipment.
• Pans sufficient chicken for operations.
• Prepares and cooks food per Manager's direction.
• Ensures food meets SOM specs and designated holding times.
• Maintains clean workspace with clean-as-you-go practices.
• Verifies stock and supplies at batter area.
• Keeps cooler organized and clean.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Manager of Shift.
