Church’s Texas Chicken is seeking a Restaurant Cook to prepare and cook food according to the Manager in Charge and the Church’s Operating Standards Manual (the OSM). The role requires timely, clean, and orderly execution with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The cook will set up the batter area, fry products, ensure call sheets are maintained, and work under supervision in the Field Operations department. This is an on-site position emphasizing safety, sanitation, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Sets up the batter table, collects smallwares, and prepares batter mix.
• Ensures call sheets are complete, posted and used.
• Checks equipment and reports malfunctions to the Manager in Charge.
• Balances fryer shortening and maintains proper levels.
• Filters and cleans fryers following safety guidelines and schedule.
• Pans sufficient chicken for operational needs.
• Prepares and cooks food as directed by the Manager in Charge.
• Ensures food meets specifications and quality standards.
