Job summary

GrillSmith is seeking motivated Fry / Sandwich Cooks to prepare food to exact chef specifications and support the executive and sous chef with daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to GrillSmith's customer satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities include setting up workstations, tracking ingredients, preparing appetizers and meals to guest preferences, delivering presentations, informing waitstaff when orders are ready, and ensuring inventory and safety standards

Qualifications

• Experience as a line cook or prep cook preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and chef specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up workstations and ingredients as per recipes.
• Track components of appetizers/meals to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare appetizers/meals according to customers' preferences when applicable.
• Deliver aesthetically pleasing appetizer presentations.
• Inform waitstaff when orders are ready.
• Keep workstation clean and orderly at all times.
• Monitor inventory to ensure sufficient supplies.
• Adhere to food safety codes.
• Slice meat and/or vegetables as required.
• Ensure ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption.
• Clean workspace after each shift.
• Inform the Manager when equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement.

• Track the components of the appetizer/meal to ensure that the final dish is completed in a timely manner
• Prepare appetizers/meals in accordance with customers' preferences when applicable
• Deliver aesthetically pleasing appetizer presentations
• Inform waitstaff when orders are ready
• Ensures workstation remains clean and orderly at all times
• Monitors inventory to ensure that sufficient supplies are readily available
• Adheres to food safety codes
• Slice meat and/or vegetables as required
• Assures ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption
• Cleans workspace after each shift
• Informs the Manager when equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement
