Job summary

HP2 seeks an experienced Program Supervisor to lead frontline operations in a youth-focused behavioral health and residential services environment. You will coach staff, maintain program structure, and oversee safety and documentation, balancing structure with compassionate care.

The role emphasizes calm leadership, accountability, and the ability to respond to challenging situations while supporting youth development and staff performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Experience with youth in behavioral health, mental health, residential services, human services, education, social services, or related.
• Demonstrated leadership, team-lead, supervisory, coaching, or staff-development experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to respond professionally to behavioral incidents and crisis situations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to complete HP2 and background/credentialing onboarding requirements.
• Preferred degree in Human Services or related fields.
• Supervisory or management experience within youth residential or behavioral health environments.
• Experience with crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, or de-escalation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of daily residential program operations.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and support Youth Mentors and direct-care staff.
• Promote accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and consistency.
• Lead shift meetings, team huddles, staff coaching, and post-incident debriefings.
• Maintain staffing, program structure, routines, and operational readiness.
• Support staff in managing challenging behaviors and crisis responses.
• Promote trauma-informed, youth-centered approaches to care.
• Monitor youth and staff safety and well-being.
• Provide real-time leadership during incidents and challenges.
• Collaborate with clinical professionals and interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure accurate incident reporting and documentation.
• Identify performance concerns and provide corrective coaching.
• Help develop staff into confident and dependable team members.
• Model professional boundaries and effective communication.
• Ensure policies and procedures are consistently followed.
