Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 2+ years of relevant experience in banking, operations, sales, or customer service.
• Knowledge of branch operations, retail banking processes, and commercial account services.
• Basic understanding of state and federal banking regulations and Bank operational policies.
• Proficiency with computers, teller systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong numerical accuracy and the ability to count currency and negotiable instruments efficiently.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, solve problems, and work under periods of stress or high customer volume.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work with general supervision while maintaining accuracy and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, and night depository deposits with accuracy and efficiency.
• Meet established KPIs related to transaction accuracy, customer service standards, compliance requirements, and overall branch performance.
• Verify customer identity, validate checks, and ensure negotiable instruments meet Bank standards.
• Receive, count, and balance cash at the beginning and end of each shift in accordance with established procedures.
• Record and document all transactions accurately while maintaining organized and up-to-date records.
• Identify customer banking needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Maintain compliance with Bank policies, procedures, code of conduct, BSA/AML regulations, and all applicable federal and territorial guidelines.
• Detect and prevent fraudulent transactions, managing risk to protect the Bank and its customers.
• Assist customers with paperwork such as deposit slips, withdrawal forms, and account-related inquiries.
• Use banking software and systems to track transactions, generate reports, and maintain customer information.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a courteous and professional environment.
