Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a SHEQ Training Officer to deliver professional training, competency assessments and development support across operational teams within Resident Services. The role collaborates with SHEQ, Corporate Safety Advisory Team and Development colleagues to identify training needs and deliver high-quality, value-for-money training.

You will be responsible for frontline training delivery, evaluating outcomes, and building cross-team relationships while supporting safety

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering training to frontline staff.
• Strong communication and motivational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and database packages.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions to frontline staff using a range of styles and methods.
• Design, deliver and evaluate training activities and outcomes.
• Carry out competency assessments in line with organisational requirements.
• Communicate effectively with people at different levels and motivate others.
• Using IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database packages.
• Build positive working relationships with colleagues, partners and service teams.
