Job summary

PX Group in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking an Operational Training & Competence Advisor to design, implement and maintain training and competence programmes across operations.

You’ll line-manage the Training and Competence team, develop annual training plans and coordinate technical, safety and mandatory courses.

Work closely with operations to ensure readiness, support onboarding, and promote a strong safety culture aligned with px SHE policies.

Qualifications

• Training, learning and development qualification or demonstrable experience in training management.
• Experience within oil, gas, power, energy or industrial services environments.
• Experience in training, learning and development or competence assurance.
• Experience managing technical and compliance-based training programmes.
• Previous line management or supervisory experience.
• Experience implementing Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain training and competence assurance programmes.
• Provide personalised on the job training, coaching and mentoring.
• Line management to Training and Competence team; ensure delivery of training services.
• Review and maintain training frameworks aligned to requirements.
• Conduct training needs analyses across operations and support functions.
• Develop annual training plans and competency development strategies.
• Coordinate delivery of technical, safety, leadership and mandatory training.
• Maintain competence management systems and matrices.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance and projects for readiness.
• Support mobilisation and onboarding activities.
• Promote a strong safety culture and align with px SHE policies.
