Mercy Health Lorain Physiatry is seeking a Patient Services Representative to handle patient check-in, scheduling, and registration in a fast-paced physician practice. You will verify demographics, collect payments, and explain financial options to patients while maintaining excellent service.

Responsibilities include coordinating referrals, processing insurance, and assisting with chart management to support smooth clinic operations and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in patient registration/healthcare preferred.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between patients and practice.
• Greet patients and the community with respectful, friendly service.
• Answer calls, schedule patients, and enter information accurately.
• Process patient registrations and verify demographics/insurance.
• Explain financial options and collect patient payments when needed.
• Reconcile cash drawer and manage daily receipts.
• Arrange referrals and follow-up appointments as required.
• Obtain authorizations/pre-certifications for procedures when applicable.
• Pull, file, and route patient charts per policy.
