Indiana University Health is seeking a Paramedic to care for ill or injured patients in emergency and non-emergency settings. The role includes patient transport, relaying critical information, and operating within Indiana Paramedic scope, with adherence to safety and hospital policies.
Requirements include ACLS, BLS, PALS certification, EMT-P Indiana Paramedic license, and relevant NIMS and EVOC training with probationary completions for certain certifications. Experience is preferred.
Responsible for the care, transport, and treatment of ill/injured patients in both emergency and non-emergency situations. Relays and receives information regarding the patient and patient condition. Complies with all regulatory requirements, departmental policy and practice, safety policies and practice, hospital policies, and operates within the scope of a Paramedic as defined by the state of Indiana. Possesses the required knowledge and skills to appropriately care for and manage neonatal, infant, pediatric, adult, and elderly patients. May be required to drive ambulance to and from referral hospital, transport patients, obtain consents and authorizations from patient or legal guardians, record time of ambulance run, process billing and daily reports.
