Job summary

FedEx Group is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor in Indianapolis to oversee safe and efficient package sortation, staff supervision, and adherence to FedEx policies. You will manage daily operations, train new staff, and drive performance improvements across the facility.

The role requires leadership, communication skills, and the ability to coach a diverse team in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and quality in operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree or 2+ years of college courses toward a degree.
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Champions FedEx Safety Above All Culture and supports related initiatives.
• Hiring, terminations, coaching, training, recognition and rewards, performance evaluations and discipline.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage staff to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages.
• Analyze performance and drive improvements for key metrics with action plans.
• Lead daily meetings to update staff and communicate goals.
• Develop and administer employee relations and safety programs.
• Train new employees on duties, performance expectations, and FXG policies.
• Mentor and develop critical skills for Operations Supervisors.
• Adapt to change and lead staff with urgency and positivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
