Job summary

Harvard Medical School in Boston seeks an Associate Director of Alumni Affairs and Development to qualify, engage, and cultivate prospects with six-figure capacity. You will manage a portfolio and work with PMGG and Gift Planning to advance six-figure gift conversations.

You will collaborate across teams to design donor-facing opportunities, coordinate events, and prepare faculty briefings for donor interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in fundraising, development, or related transferable experience.
• Demonstrated success in frontline fundraising and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and work evenings/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage the leadership pipeline by identifying and qualifying leads.
• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors with $100K–$500K capacity.
• Lead event strategy and follow-up in collaboration with colleagues.
• Develop donor-facing opportunities and translate complex biomedical topics for prospects.
• Prepare faculty for donor interactions and create briefings.
• Record contacts and outcomes in the CRM and use analytics to track progress.
