Job summary

Sportsman's Warehouse in Utah is seeking an IT Support Engineer I to serve as the first point of contact for IT support, delivering friendly service while troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues across corporate and retail locations.

You will document incidents in the ITSM system, assist with onboarding/offboarding, manage equipment and inventory, and coordinate with vendors. The role requires basic Windows/M365 knowledge and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT, CS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years in Help Desk or Desktop Support.
• Basic Windows OS and Microsoft 365 knowledge.
• Basic hardware, printers, and peripheral troubleshooting.
• Familiar with Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Basic networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for IT support via email, chat, or ITSM.
• Provide first-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, POS equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve routine hardware/software issues per procedures.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ITSM system.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams with documentation.
• Use remote tools to diagnose issues across stores and offices.
• Install, image, deploy, and replace IT equipment.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding and equipment setup.
• Coordinate with vendors for orders and repairs.
• Maintain inventory records of IT assets.
• Create knowledge base articles.
• Follow security standards to protect systems.
• Participate in deployments and IT projects.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties.
