U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks Border Patrol Agents for full-time, entry and mid-level positions where education or experience may qualify. The agency offers strong base pay, federal benefits, job stability, and incentives to recruit and retain talent.

Included are duties such as border surveillance, document inspection, and apprehension of violators, with a path from GL-5 through GS-11 depending on qualifications. Incentives may total up to $50,000 over multiple years.

Formación

• One year of general work experience or a bachelor's degree in any field, or an equivalent combination.
• Eligibility for GL-5/7/9/11 grades based on experience and education.

Responsabilidades

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violations; inspecting documents and possessions.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry.
• Performing farm, building, traffic, city and transportation checks.
• Patrolling international boundaries and waterways using various assets.
