U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Border Patrol Agents in the United States at multiple duty locations. The role offers competitive federal pay, robust benefits, and strong job stability, with recruitment and retention incentives available.

Selected candidates will undergo extensive training at the Border Patrol Academy and may progress through several grade levels based on performance and eligibility.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Combination of experience and education may be used to meet the basic requirements.

Responsabilités

• Detect suspects and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws; inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders; observe from covert positions and use infrared scopes during night operations.
• Interpret and follow tracks, marks, and other evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.
• Perform farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
• Patrol the international boundary and coastal waterways using vehicles, horses, vessels, and other assets for the Border Patrol mission.
