Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or education/substitution per the announcement.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-vision methods.
• Interpret tracks and evidence of illegal entry and contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks during patrols.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using a range of government assets.
