Job summary

EY is seeking an Frontier AI Assistant Director to identify, shape, and scale emerging AI opportunities across EY. You will connect evolving client needs with emerging technologies, leading initiatives from experimentation through capability development, and focusing on trusted/open-weight models, AI-native delivery, and enterprise knowledge systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, AI, ML, product development, solution architecture, technical consulting, TPM, or related tech disciplines.
• Hands-on experimentation, prototyping, or building with emerging technologies as part of ongoing learning.
• Experience leading complex technology initiatives spanning technical, business, and stakeholder considerations.
• Experience evaluating emerging technologies and translating them into business value or new capabilities.
• Preferred backgrounds include tech startups, TPM, solution engineering, customer engineering, product development, or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor AI developments, externally and within EY, to identify capabilities and opportunities relevant to clients and firm strategy.
• Build relationships across service lines, sectors, alliances, regions, and ecosystems to understand evolving needs and tech opportunities.
• Identify, shape, and lead Frontier AI initiatives connecting technologies with client challenges and strategic priorities.
• Continuously experiment with emerging technologies to understand capabilities, limitations, and applications.
• Design and build experiments, prototypes, and proofs-of-concept to validate opportunities and accelerate learning.
• Assess opportunities across business value, technical feasibility, enterprise readiness, risk, and adoption potential.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to validate, refine, and advance new capabilities.
