Job summary

EY’s Frontier AI program seeks an Assistant Director to identify, shape, and scale emerging AI opportunities across EY. You will connect client needs with emerging technologies and lead initiatives from experimentation through capability development, collaborating with service lines, sectors, alliances, and innovation teams.

Focus areas include trusted/open-weight models, AI-native software delivery, enterprise knowledge systems, and agentic systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, AI, machine learning, product development, solution architecture, technical consulting, technical program management, innovation, or related technology disciplines.
• Hands-on experimentation, prototyping, or building with emerging technologies as part of an ongoing practice of learning and exploration.
• Experience leading complex technology initiatives spanning technical, business, and stakeholder considerations.
• Experience evaluating emerging technologies and translating them into business value or new capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor developments across AI to identify capabilities, market signals, and client-relevant opportunities.
• Build relationships across service lines and regions to understand evolving business needs and technology opportunities.
• Identify, shape, and lead Frontier AI initiatives linking technologies with client challenges.
• Continuously experiment with emerging technologies to understand capabilities and limitations.
• Design and build experiments, prototypes, and proofs-of-concept to validate opportunities.
• Assess opportunities across business value, feasibility, readiness, risk, and adoption potential.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to validate and advance new capabilities.
